Course overview

An intensive, advanced-level workshop designed for experienced mediators who are ready to deepen their skills.

This advanced mediator training program is designed to help experienced mediators take their skills to the next level of professional practice. Through the analysis of real-life case scenarios in a supportive, practice-focused environment, you will refine your expertise, expand your knowledge, and gain valuable insights from peers and expert facilitators.

Led by AMDRAS-accredited advanced mediators, the workshops focus on advanced conflict resolution techniques, including how to manage complex ethical issues, prioritise safety, and work inclusively with diverse communities. You will also receive personalised feedback throughout the program to help identify your strengths and highlight areas for growth.

By completing the Advanced Mediator – Practicum Certificate, you will:

  • Deepen your understanding of the purpose, stages, and skills required for effective dispute resolution
  • Broaden your awareness of sociocultural considerations when mediating with First Nations clients, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and members of LGBTQIA+ communities
  • Develop the reflective and mindful practices needed to manage high-conflict, ethically complex mediation environments
