Advanced Property Training

Course overview

Strengthen your practice in property and financial family dispute resolution.

This one-day, interactive workshop is designed for experienced Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners (FDRPs) who want to advance their knowledge and skills in facilitating disputes involving property and financial matters within the family law context.

Drawing on more than 40 years of Relationships Australia Victoria’s expertise in family law mediation — and over 25 years providing professional FDR training — this workshop offers a practical, evidence-informed approach. Through demonstrations, rich discussions, and realistic role plays supported by experienced coaches, you will gain the confidence to manage property FDR at a higher level of complexity.

What you’ll learn
By the end of the training, you will be able to:

  • Apply best practice approaches for FDRPs working with property and financial matters.
  • Recognise and navigate key legal and ethical considerations relevant to family law property disputes.
  • Build and refine skills to manage complex property negotiations in family dispute resolution.

Who should attend

This course is suitable for:

  • Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners (FDRPs) with experience in parenting disputes.
  • Practitioners who already hold some knowledge of property and financial matters.

Please note: The workshop assumes existing knowledge and practice experience in FDR. It is not recommended for practitioners with little or no exposure to property FDR.
