Introduction to Contemporary Family Systems

Course overview

Gain insights into the evolving dynamics of modern families

Family Systems Therapy views the family as a living system, where each member influences and is influenced by the others. Rather than focusing on individuals in isolation, this approach explores the relationships, patterns, and behaviours between family members to identify the root of challenges and build pathways for change.

This interactive online workshop introduces you to the principles of contemporary Family Systems Therapy and explores how shifts in society—such as technology use, blended families, economic pressures, cultural diversity, and changing gender roles—impact family relationships today. You’ll learn how to apply systemic thinking in your practice and gain practical tools to support clients experiencing complex family dynamics.
