Course overview

Build confidence in supporting clients through grief and bereavement.

Grief is a universal experience, but the way it is expressed and processed varies greatly from person to person. This workshop equips professionals with the knowledge, skills, and resources to provide compassionate and effective bereavement care. Whether in frontline health, community, or education settings, you will learn how to respond with sensitivity and confidence to clients navigating loss.

About the presenters

Lefteris Patlamazoglou is a counselling psychologist and lecturer in psychology and counselling at Monash University. He has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families affected by migration, grief, trauma, and LGBTIQA+ identities. His practice and research focus on wellbeing, belonging, and intersectionality, particularly in relation to LGBTIQA+ communities and migrant populations. Lefteris brings a compassionate and evidence-informed approach, ensuring participants gain both clinical insights and practical tools.

  • Registrations close 48 hours before the workshop
  • Full payment is required at least 2 business days in advance
  • If paying by invoice, proof of payment must be provided at least 24 hours before the event
