Course overview

Discover how trauma-informed approaches can transform your work with correctional cohorts, helping you respond safely and effectively when complex behaviours arise.

This workshop goes beyond theory, giving you the confidence to apply trauma-informed principles in real-world contexts. You’ll explore how past trauma shapes behaviour, discover practical strategies to de-escalate complex situations, and learn how to maintain clear, professional boundaries. By taking a strengths-based approach, you’ll be better prepared to support constructive change, encourage safer interactions, and foster positive outcomes for individuals, their families, and the communities they return to.
