Sam Lane – An award-winning broadcast journalist and author whose work spans print, television, podcast, and radio. Her first book, ROAR, is the definitive account of the birth of the AFLW. Sam covered men’s AFL for over 15 years and now co-hosts the weekly ABC podcast, The W - with Sharni and Sam. She has received numerous industry honours, including a Walkley and two Melbourne Press Club Quills. Sam is also a member of the Australian Institute of Sport’s Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement Advisory Committee, chaired by Ian Thorpe.
